Springsteen Named Distinguished Administrator;
Henry Joins Alumni Hall of Honor
The 糖心Vlog chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) has achieved 5-Star Chapter status for 2024, the highest level of recognition awarded by the international honor society. This distinction reflects the chapter鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service.
In addition to earning the 5-Star designation, Glen Oaks has also been recognized as a Reach Chapter, an honor given to chapters that excel in membership development. This recognition highlights the college鈥檚 dedication to fostering student success and expanding opportunities for eligible students to join PTK.

Adding to the celebration, Anne Springsteen, Director of TRIO Student Support Services at Glen Oaks, has been named a Distinguished College Administrator by PTK. This prestigious award honors college leaders who have demonstrated exceptional support for Phi Theta Kappa, ensuring student members have the resources and encouragement needed to thrive.
Springsteen鈥檚 unwavering dedication to PTK, particularly through the TRIO program, has played a pivotal role in supporting student success at Glen Oaks. She will be honored on stage during PTK Catalyst 2025, the society鈥檚 international convention, held April 3-5, 2025, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Sarah Henry Honored for Alumni Contributions
Further recognition comes for Sarah Henry, Director of Admissions at Glen Oaks, who has been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa鈥檚 Alumni Hall of Honor. This award is presented annually to one distinguished PTK alum from each of the society鈥檚 28 regions.
To receive this honor, alumni must be members for at least three years from their home chapter and remain actively involved at the chapter, regional, or international level. Henry鈥檚 contributions to Phi Theta Kappa include her service as Michigan鈥檚 Associate Regional Coordinator and her recent term as Vice President of Division 3 for the Alumni Advisory Board through PTK Headquarters. She will be formally recognized during the PTK Catalyst Opening Ceremony and the Alumni Banquet.
The success of Glen Oaks鈥 PTK chapter is made possible through the guidance and leadership of PTK Advisors Sarah Henry and Ben Fries, Director of Advising & VA Academic Advisor. Their mentorship and dedication to PTK members have played an essential role in the chapter鈥檚 achievements and continued growth.
